March
10, 2007 - Happy Treantafel is at home recovering nicely after
having a heart attack after the February 11 Prudential Northeast Sled Hockey
League where Happy plays wing for the New Hampshire Wildcats. The doctors
have told him no more hockey for this year but haven't ruled out a return
for next season. In the mean time Happy will continue as one of the most
active supporters on the New England Bruins Sled Hockey Program where he
serves as Board Member At-Large and a fund-raising expert. Happy has every
intention of attending the Prudential Lobster Pot and the New England
Invitational Sled Hockey Tournament to support his teammates even though he
knows he can't play. .
Happy awoke about 2 a.m.on Monday morning after the 2/11 Game Day with an
incredible shortness of breath. "I just couldn't catch my breath," he said.
"I wasn't in any pain but I kind of knew I was in trouble when the dog was
being unusually affectionate." Anyone that knows Happy's canine companion,
Chief, would know that this would be very out of character for the Chow. "I
called 911 and the cops got here right away. I gotta give them credit,"
Happy continued, "We decided we'd better get me to the hospital right away
so I set Chief up with some food and told him to bite the first son of a
bitch that comes through the door while I'm away."
We're all glad your feeling better Happy! See you soon.
